Furniture and coatings

Finding three marvellous Zanuso armchairs from the 50’s in an old cellar and choosing
their perfect new fabric is like walking down the street and seeing an elegant lady with
trendy high shoes and coat. My eyes follow her smooth movements. Beauty has no age
limit and there is not an expiration date to be trendy.

Those three armchairs will bring along old memories of the rooms they belonged to, of the
clothes that somebody had distractedly thrown upon them, of the backs that had rested
against them, of the legs crossed under a soft blanket while reading a book with the head
in the clouds.

These armchairs are now going to start a whole new story from the beginning. This
might be the reason why we love vintage; because it adds humanity and emotions to our
rooms.

My keywords: study of materials, creativity, empathic connection with the customer.
It is possible to work on your old pieces of furniture by modifying them a little or restoring
them through specific and certified woodworm treatments. It is of course also possible to
create new custom-made pieces or even choose to buy new rough furniture and decide
together the most suitable treatments.

There are no limits and many ways to proceed. We could, for instance, create a multi-
coloured environment with a vintage chest, a tailor-made shelf and then decide, together,
to include the old family cupboard. Thanks to creativity and competence, the ideal image
becomes the actual truth behind the main door.

Throughout the ancient techniques of furniture coating I will try to take over time and
create those natural colour effects, such as fading and peeling, that an object naturally
gets through decades.
When it comes to more modern pieces, we can of course proceed with simple panel
paintings followed, of course, by the finishing.
